Don’t replace your windows — respray them
Most people replacing their windows are not replacing anything broken. They are spending thousands of pounds, and waiting weeks, to change a colour.
Spraying does the same job on the frames you already have — up to 75% cheaper than replacing. Anthracite grey, jet black, cream, Chartwell green or a shade nobody has asked for before: the RAL number you pick never changes the price.
Don’t replace it — just spray it. Here is how the two compare.
| What we are comparing | Spraying | Replacing |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | From £275, priced per property, not per window. A typical three-bedroom semi is around £1,100. | Thousands of pounds. |
| Time on site | Two to three days. | Weeks of waiting. |
| Disruption | The glass, the locks and the hinges stay where they are, and you keep using the rooms while we work. | The frames you already have come out. |
| What actually changes | The colour — any RAL colour, same price, matt, satin or gloss. | The windows themselves. |
| The right choice when | The frames still open, close and seal properly and there is nothing wrong with them except the colour. | A unit has blown or a frame is failing — spraying is the wrong answer and we will tell you so. |
What UPVC spraying costs
Window spraying starts at £275, priced per property rather than per window — a bay, a landing top-light and a front door do not arrive as three separate bills. Most whole-house jobs are two to three days on site, and a typical three-bedroom semi comes in around £1,100.
Kitchens are £1,200 to £4,000, depending on how many doors, drawer fronts and panels there are.
What moves the figure is how many windows you have, how easy they are to reach, and whether the doors are done in the same visit. The colour never moves it.
You get a fixed written price before anything starts — not a range, not a day rate, and not a number that changes once work begins. There is a fuller breakdown of what UPVC spraying costs if you want it.

What we spray
Most people start with the windows and add the doors while we are set up — it is the only way to get a whole elevation matching. Everything below is sprayed at your property, on what you already own.

We also take on commercial work — shopfronts, offices and industrial units.
Before and after
Every photograph below is a job we have done — same house, same frames, two days apart.
It answers what everyone asks first: will it look sprayed? It should not. It should look like the frames came that colour.

Your 10-year insurance-backed guarantee
Every window and door we spray is covered for ten years against peeling, cracking and flaking, using UV-protected coatings. Sprayed kitchens carry a five-year guarantee.
We have been spraying uPVC for over ten years. Insurance-backed matters more than it sounds, though: the cover is underwritten, so it does not rest on us still being here in year nine. The paperwork follows by email once the job is signed off.
Sprayed uPVC needs no special upkeep — wash it down as you would any painted surface.

See your home in your chosen colour, free
Choosing from a colour chart is the hardest part. A small square of anthracite tells you little about how it will look across fourteen frames.
Send us a photo of your house and we will send back a free digital preview of your own home in your chosen colour. It costs nothing, and most people ask for two or three before settling.
It is the difference between hoping and knowing.
How it works
- Free fixed quoteYour postcode and roughly what needs spraying is enough. You get a fixed written price back, usually the same working day.
- PreparationFrames are cleaned, degreased and lightly abraded so the coating has something to key into. This is the step that decides whether a job lasts ten years or one.
- Masking and sprayingGlass, handles, hinges, sills and brickwork are masked off, then a two-pack industrial coating goes on by airless sprayer in thin, even coats.
- Inspection and guaranteeMasking comes off and we walk the job with you. Anything not right, we put right before we leave.
Coverage
UPVC sprayers near you, across England and Wales
We cover England and Wales, with teams working out of London, Manchester and Birmingham, across Wales, and in other major cities — so if you have searched for UPVC sprayers near me there is a fair chance we are working near you this month.
Jobs are booked over the phone and the team comes to your house — which is why the postcode is the first thing we ask for. It tells us who is nearest and when they are free.
What our customers say
-
“From start to finish this company was so helpful, explaining in detail the process. The engineer that did our windows was polite, professional and conscious in the way he worked. We love the results and would recommend this company.”
Julie Google review -
“I was a little anxious about having a re-spray rather than replacing existing doors. However, from my initial chat with Kapre, choosing the colour, booking a date and the work completed, the whole process was faultless.”

UPVC spraying questions, answered
How much does it cost to have uPVC windows sprayed?
From £275, priced per property rather than per window. A typical three-bedroom semi is around £1,100, and every RAL colour is the same price. Kitchens are £1,200 to £4,000, depending on the number of doors and panels.
How long does uPVC spraying last?
Years, when the preparation is done properly — cleaning, degreasing and abrading is what the finish stands or falls on. Windows and doors are guaranteed for ten years against peeling, cracking and flaking. Sprayed kitchens are guaranteed for five.
Is spraying uPVC windows any good?
If the frames still open, close and seal properly, yes — you are fixing a colour problem for a fraction of what replacement costs, with a written guarantee behind it. If a unit has blown, spraying is the wrong answer and we will say so.
Can I spray uPVC myself?
You can, and plenty do. What goes wrong is preparation — frames that are not cleaned, degreased and abraded properly shed the coating within a year. Aerosols and brush-on tins sit on the surface rather than bonding into it, and carry no guarantee.
What are the downsides of painting uPVC?
Done badly it peels, which is why almost every horror story involves a brush and an off-the-shelf tin. Done properly it is a bonded coating, not a paint job. The honest limit is that spraying fixes how frames look, not blown units or failed locks.
How long does the work take?
Two to three days on site for most houses. Nothing is manufactured and no frames are ordered, so there is no lead time beyond finding you a slot in the diary.
